Dermal Filler
Dermal fillers became useful as an aesthetic treatment in the early 1980's. Since then there has been an evolution in this sphere and at the fore front is the Juvederm family of fillers; one of the several brands of Hyaluronic acid that are currently on the market. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar molecule that attracts water. By injecting it into tissue, the HA attracts water , increasing volume and moisture in the tissue.
